Cursed

Cursed

A Poem by Katannaism

This cruel Temptress came in with her book of spells.
And cast one upon me, a dreadful curse.
From her lips, an incantation murmured-
Silent to the human ear.
Then, he catches your eye. And his to you.
The heart beats a hundred times faster...
Your hands clammy and damp.
A lodge in your throat stops your speech.
And the magic takes place.
Oh the cruel Temptress, her spells are quick and effective.
It is a beautiful curse.
Monstrous bliss; Hopeless Faith; Shattered Love.
The first time his hands interlock with yours.
You feel warmth. Attraction.
Lust.
Hope.
The second time, its more familiar;
more homey.
Like your safety ensured.
Your fears dashed away.
The tenth time...
And you are home.
The first Kiss-
blissful and exciting.
The warmth and the closeness-the intimacy.
Embraced in each others open arms...
Never letting go...
A promise.
A vow of Love Eterne.
Caution slowly slips away.
And belief, hope, faith steps in.
Oh this Dark Temptress has cast an ugly spell;
to make you love, and be loved in return.
Until the Temptress wants to laugh.
Her mind is twisted and rotten.
And with a flick of her hand,
Happiness shatters.
Love is broken.
Hate replaces.
Oh you, cruel Spell Caster-
Hold your disgusting tongue!
For this curse shall go on no more...
And let your slaves suffer,
a once beautiful love.
Now hope is killed. Faith more frail than before...
Everything is broken.
And you shut thy doors.
I attempt to knock it down.
And call you, Evil One; to face your slave.
Your victim.
Your prey.
Your cursed one.
Your victim beseeches you to curse them again-
But never take it back-
For your entertainment is too cruel to bear...
You, a wife of Lucifer's.
A cruel one.
Your victim beseeches you-
to cease your Spell Casting.
And your disgusting incantations.
Your beastly potions.
You Black Heart.
Give me my heart again-
For it despises the very essence of me.
For it fears the very sight of me.
My voice repulses its ears.
I beseech you return my Love and my Heart back.
And cripple your Black Soul.
You lock your doors-Barred.
Is this how you treat your customers?!
I bang on thy door-
Screaming like an old hag.
An asylum awaits me.
This cursed one.
You shan't listen.
And by this-
I die-
Shattered and broken.
Lifeless.
