Worthless

Worthless

A Poem by Jen

You look around,
There's no one there.
You feel like
No one cares

You're in a bubble,
Surrounded by nothing;
Nothing but air.
And you can't help
But to feel alone.

People in the distance,
Arms outstretched.
You're in a deadly trance;
You won't give them a chance.

It's time to step outside;
Don't push, don't fight.
There's nothing to hide.
You're not alone;
I'm by your side.

We'll walk down fifth avenue,
Our heads held high,
Just us two.
We'll soar;
Soar to the sky.

No one's going to stop us.
We're gonna make it through.
You have to have some trust

We'll fall, we'll cry.
We'll be scratched and bruised.
But in the end we'll fly;
We won't ever feel used.

Put your hand out for me to see;
Put your hand out, give it to me.
And we'll walk down fifth avenue,
Just us two;
Just me and you.
