Threads of us

Threads of us

A Poem by Jennesis

Airport goodbyes weave
Threads of longing
Into fabric of days spent
In-between

Pixels of digital passion
Suffice for touch of skin
On skin
Cellular waves embroider
Whispers in ears

Needing the kneading
Of emotional release
Connections spun by
A needles eye chance
And star alignment

Airport arrivals thread
Strings of yearning
Passion sewing into
Adventures awaiting

New experiences quilting
Histories and tapestries
Created by the loom of us
Unshared and uniquely
Ours alone

i once said goodbye to a loved one at an Airport...and it was the last time i saw her...long distance relationships are so tough...we loved right up until the last embrace...but we couldn't sustain the distance...she lived in a far away country...and circumstances just didn't give our relationship a parachute with which to land together in the end.
