Been To Hell and Back

Been To Hell and Back

A Poem by Pure Hope
"

Learning from mistakes, that's the ticket

"

Had a harder life than most

But have learned more from that past

Never got a chance to coast

Worked each day to make my life

last because

Time cannot be saved
Memories are cruelly waved

in front of us
Furrows mark that path I took
My hair still turned grey from black
Fought hard for this awesome look
Yes I've BEEN TO HELL AND BACK

I am more than just a woman
I have more than just survived

I can feel the future coming

And its keeping me alive

The world isn't fair

Sometimes no one's there

Just my beer and my chair
Keep me in the game
Got on my feet

Some people to meet

Taught me just how to treat

Those I really love

But now I have got a new aura

I'll model it for yah...

It's called~ Mellow Yellow
