Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope

A Poem by Jenny Davis

Neath a sun, bright and playful

a lass lies still and content

While a tummy of tea swims about

winds keep time with breath

Inside eye lids, restless but shut

the light shows off its charm

As beads of red and hues of yellow

bounce off time's reflections

MMM. that sound delightful. Enjoying the moment that are give to us that we to often pass without a second thought of appreciating it for the pure pleasure that it gave in that exact moment and time. This was very colorful and painted such a wonderful image in my head. I love being able to see such beauty from words that flow like these. Like water seamless and perfect just the way they should.

Well Done!!!!!

I love the picture you painted with the use of just the right words. As eyelids dance in dappled beams to the sun's choreographed symphony of color.

A lovely piece for a Saturday afternoon read. Graceful yet vibrant. I do love your work.

So dreamy and beautiful. Your vivid poem brings about a painting, an image with special words. This has an Irish feel to it (lass, tea). I'm probably reading into it but it held me that way. A perfect title as well.

Oh this is well done! I love the last line especially, but all the images combine to make a rainbow in my imagination (warmed by the teafull tummy!), and it's all a delight.

Lovely and well done! There's almost a haiku-like quality here that is very appealing and takes me deeper into the scene and my rainbowed imaginings.

Vibrant and lovely images. I think if I close my eyes I might see the colors.

Well that sounds wonderful to me right now. You made me want to be in tune with nature again, lying in a field watching the sun dance acrossed everything below. Wonderfully calming.
