Without a Second Thought

Without a Second Thought

A Poem by Gigglez
"

While thinking about past mistakes, and my future.

"

Without a Second Thought

Would you be
(bothered, annoyed, irked)
if I kissed you?”

I should have said:

Yes, I would be” but
I did not.

I should have said:

Stay away from me” but
I did not.

Why? Why
didn't I do that? Because
I thought he
was the only one
who could love me
for me but now
I see that is wrong.

I have found

another.

He loves me,
He wants me,
and He supports me
like none other ever could
have or will.

And I will always accept

His kisses without a
second thought, but
his
(Douchebag)
first kiss
I should have rejected.

Without a

second thought.

Without a second

blink of the eye.

My darling,

my hope

springs at the

sight of you,

and the feel

of your muscles,

as I gladly

tend to your

aches and pains,

bring me

comfort and

peace.

And when we

stand on the altar,

before our friends

and family, and
I am asked

if I do...

I will say "I do"

without a

second thought.

This was written while I was musing about the mistakes I made in my past involving a certain douchebag in my life, and how wonderful my Major is.

Wow, I loved how you approached the piece. There are many poems on this website that give a similar message, but this poem is especially unique because of how you introduced it. I'm sure many people can relate.
I enjoyed it.
