The Sleep-Away Paradise.

The Sleep-Away Paradise.

A Poem by Jess Holden
"

Poem about dreaming.

"
 fight this day,
Avoid it on the calender,
Yet must embrace its cold and bitter grip,
The night warm instead of its normal damp sence,
The day blackened out by evil thoughts,
Nothing can get through the black veil which blocks,
This day dreamer's wish,
Now turned to a nightmere.

No day besides this,
Can acomplish nothing,
Yet occupy and eternity's wealth in lives lost,
A chain reaction in the media's eyes,
Nothing more than tears and sadness is shown,
But so many deeper feelings are there;
Lying un-noticed to all but the ones feeling them.

This is the day of dreaming,
Without shutting ones eyes,
The day for dreaming,
Without hurting a fly.

The day for tears,
The day for screams,
A day to cherish our once un-broken dreams.

We do not jump for joy,
We do not mour in sadness,
We just stand here and listen,
In this dream for those evil lost souls,
A nightmere for those angels above,
And a normal day for us,
Our sleep-away paradise.
