humid dog days

humid dog days

A Poem by Jess Morton
"

Playing with capitalization last summer

"
That Damn Dog
Barking Again
Left Outside
In The Heat Of The Summer

Chained In The Yard
And All I Can Do
Is Listen Closely
To Accept The Fact That

this is how much my neighbor cares

Oh How Hard It Is
To Simply Be Alive
And Cared For
During humid dog days
