The Treasure

There once dwelt a treasure inside a boy

A treasure as pure as light

Until it had been stolen and shattered

And then seemed like a horrible sight

But then one day there came an Artist

Who gathered every broken piece

 

He saw much hope and potential

And began to lovingly mend

One by one the pieces were together

The treasure began to look as new

The Artist’s fondness and eagerness grew

Into a love that seemed to bloom

 

He’d seen beauty from ashes

He’d seen beauty from pain

And yet this little treasure

Seemed to bear the likeness of His name

And when the final piece was established

The entire treasure was as light as a flame

 

Then suddenly life blossomed before him

Into a boy so young and free

He was given a brand new life and start

And his treasure was valued indeed

Because this man repaired his heart

He was a captive but now he’s free

Twas a sweet and beautiful thing!
