The Woods

The Woods

A Poem by That1Nerd23

A stroll in the woods

Is sure to make one calm

A nice little taste of nature

A lovely birdy song

But sometimes things can get spooky

And seem so out of place

Especially when a greenish color

Turns into a beastly face

And out from the bushes and trees

Appears many little monsters

And many giant beasts

Who seek to alert fear and sorrow

They never seem to feel joy

Not now and not tomorrow

So they run, yeah they chase

They haunt you at a speedy pace

Until the light shines on them

And exposes them to the crowd

It’s then that they are reminded

They’re not beasts but rather friends

They are free from all the dens

No longer captives of their grief

Such has fallen like a leaf

All because of their loyal Chief
