Changeable Fear

Every night I lie awake

Feeling restless and so afraid

Each day’s a gift, this I know

But it seems I am at an all-time low

 

I’m fearful of their wicked schemes

They push me down and threaten me

They think I am just another face

In the crowd proclaiming God’s grace

 

As hard as it is, as hard as it seems

My faith will go on, there is no stopping me

My life is in the Palm of His hands

And He’s waiting to unfold His marvelous plans

 

So get behind me, Satan

Stop fooling around

My God is omnipotent

And your powers running out

 

You know you’re gonna lose

You know He’s gonna win

So why you even trying
