This was a challenge from my teacher to take a song and turn it into a poem lol I think I failed but it was fun and it's funny :) Secrets by One Republic

I need another story

Return me to my former glory

Something to get off my chest

Something to make me the best

My life gets kinda boring

Waste time staring at the flooring

Need something that I can confess

God my head is such a mess!

Til' all my sleeves are stained red

From all the blood that I’ve shed

From all the truth that I've said

Some of my friends want me dead

Come by it honestly I swear

You should see the stuff you wear

Thought you saw me wink, no

Had something in my eye though

I've been on the brink, so

Tell me what I don’t know

Tell me what you want to hear

Cause I like to have you near

Something that will light those ears

Love I want to dry your tears

Sick of all the insincere

I just want to make this clear

I'm gonna give all my secrets away

And I hope you’ll want to stay

This time, don't need another perfect lie

I finally have an alibi

Don't care if critics ever jump in line

cause baby you are finally mine

My God, amazing how we got this far

I cheated and I stole your car

It's like we're chasing all those stars

Your not mad and that’s a bit bizaar

Who's driving shiny big black cars

Them preppy little movie stars

And everyday I see the news

Trump somehow connected to jews

All the problems that we could solve

If our government would dissolve

And when a situation rises

No one ever realizes

Just write it into an album

Dang it nothing rhymes with album

Send it straight to gold

This poems kinda getting old

I don't really like my flow, no, so

I think it’s time for me to go....
