Too Much

Too Much

A Poem by Jex

To loud!

To clingy!

To dependent!

Talks to much!

Does to much!

Needs to let go!

To emotional!

It’s stifling…

The calm before the storm.

Do more.

Give more .

Come on now…

No need to show any restraint.

Don’t be selfish.

Let it all consume you from the inside out.

Don’t make me call the enforcer now.

No matter what you do .

Or how hard you try.

You are stuck here in the void.

Forever the dutiful servant,

Overflowing the goblet for all of eternity.

If you stop…

The whole world turns to ice.

A burning freezing kind of feeling,

for those within this fragile prison.

There seems to be nothing but outrage.

How dare you!

How merciless of you!

You should have destroyed the world for me...

{I've would've for you...}

And once again it begins.

Just like the simple flick of the switch.

The chain reaction for this endless loop.

Hollow from the inside out.

It’s the only way to remain adrift.

Weathered and broken.

Rotting from the inside out out.

But still somehow afloat.

Reluctantly relentless

Resolute.
