International Showtime

International Showtime

A Poem by JRGene
"

If you know what international love is

"
Never had these land seen such a sight
The windmills stopped their dancing,
the hills watched silently with delight
the swift spectacle.

Shoeless feet incessantly stomp on the grass,
avoiding daisy's, lilly's
and every other blossom
which has lent it's name
to a beautiful lass

So much joy,
so much love
between a(n) [nationality] girl
and a(n) [nationality] boy.

Will it last forever?
And is forever even important
when clocks stop ticking?
A moment, or an eternity, whichever.
What dictates the pace is the rhythm
of slightly increased heartbeats.

Tomorrow all the rivers
will continue their flow.
For now they will only stand by,
watch,
and enjoy the show.
