You stole my happiness

And you left the loneliness,

Loneliness that has left a trace,

A trace of a chaotic life

 

You came unexpectedly

And you left in a hurry

You were there when I was happy

You were not there when I was lonely

 

Come in bloom

But gone in doom

A thief who stole my heart

A thief who left tears into my eyes

Simple and effective use of imagery to create an emotive sense of loss and betrayal felt when you're the one who is left alone, discarded like yesterdays newspapers.
