A Writer's Testimony

Eventually

The days to be remembered 
Will flood over the days I'll have left

If life is what I've come to jot down so far
I want my tales to be rich in detail
Carefully coded
And passionately organized

To show all my defeats
Regrets
Empty promises
Heartaches 
Sleepless nights
And why I chose to get up 
Everytime I tripped into the pits
Which we call despair

With one wish that

Once I'm of age
Clutching to the last few pages in a hand 
Holding down a shaky pen in the other
Dressed with the beautiful creases of my elderly smile

I'll be able to testify with my great joy

Love never fails
It has never failed my life
