A Poem by J

Sometimes

the night

becomes a windbreak from

     anxieties

that slither beneath my door

    past barricades

    of formidable

Fluff

while shadows walk ceilings

past little deaths

of imperfect fingers flying

against sorrows gathering behind frightful

                   imaginings

and i remember ...

i remember

bright strokes of agility

and nimble leaps of assurance without thought

          without stumble

                   without  . . . gratitude.

And.now.

          and here and tomorrows

the sidewalk dips beneath my feet

      cracks and wiggles

and

      conception is fleeting

and flies back in my face

[and] Fresh despair reminds me how well i know

     the night

And how confusion becomes me.

All I see of you shines and I don't know your story, but your poem creates a window where the readers sees with the same vantage point as you, the same sadness. It breaks our hearts (the reader) and we wonder if you can hear us stand up to cheer you on, with new mornings and new beginnings, and the fact that it's just not over till it's over. So lovely and passionate J. Thanks you for sharing.

the tumble weed blown up against the wire barbed fence, barnacles himself there in place,Calls a flash party and by the edge of the wind snaking through, rattling the roof,Mourning the barbed wire balls from the weight of the trapped weeds impaled on one another ,red painted towering clouds point to no where but Despair.

I placed my hand boldly into the dark sack, and spun out a thought.

My kid on a hip. they Gray , Courtney, wow.
Being I know the background to this, it is all too moving. Your pen has not lost its agility or its ability to move me with such heart-wrenching poetry. I'm praying for you, you have a strong spirit I sometimes lack. We often don't know what we have...
Excellent writing J.

The monsters of being oneself. Beautifully expressed and very lyrical. And apparently not at all confused despite statements to the contrary.

dear lara, for your everlasting and enduring perseverance and support, my heart is yours ...... xx
You're words a graced with a beauty that captures a part of the soul as it journeys through the thoughts and trials of times never ceasing gravity. I'm reminded of an old story I once heard. "Do not worry of the cobbled stones that may break, nor the trees that may fall to ashes. For it is the trek of the human spirit that the heavens hold dear."

Always Fantastic Lady J!
