Grey Clouds

Grey Clouds

A Poem by JillieBeene
"

A poem about gay suicide

"

Maybe it was the way he walked

(too jaunty?)

or the way he laughed

(too girly?)

maybe it was the way he gazed at

the boy in front in math

(too different?)

In a world riddled with contradictions

he was trapped in one

to just hold his hand once…

the one that said love is blind

…and feel each pulse through my fingertips…

The one that said God loves all

…as we walk down the street…

The one that said nothing

This hurts too much

It’s a little hard to imagine rainbows

when all you can feel is the burden

of grey clouds

A powerful poem. Control of our emotion is very hard. For someone with different emotion and desire can be a hard life. I like the way you made your point in this poem. I believe we must be kind and we have no right to tell another. What to think or feel. I like the use of grey clouds to make your point in the outstanding poem
