Sonnet 1

Sonnet 1

A Poem by Jimsimagination
"

Young nights and old regrets

"
That stunted time, very nearly forgot
of singing , dancing, and all young pleasure.
That drunken light, offering rejection;
pain, torn from out inexperienced youth
whose, slurred, and erred philosophies are fought
at the bar. For alpha rights, and leisure.
Underfoot the decadence has been spilt.
Sticky carpet, where trousers bulge distraught;
looking down the line: high heeled erection.
Eyelashes begging the question; the truth,
to be lost in glass shots, double measure.
Free spirit choices without risk or guilt.
Then unknown growth, after shooting the lot
another notch, crying forget-me-not.
