Dead End

When feelings are so strong at first, your sure it´s right.. and without knowing what happened everything has faded away, and you´ve reached a dead end.

If I knew that the road ended here

I wouldn´t have gone this far

The rain is falling hard, sights unclear

We both get out of car

 

We just stood there for a while

 

I didn´t wanna be the first to say it

The pain inside would become real

Leaning on four thousand pounds of steel

I slid down to the ground, and I stayed there

 

You sat down next to me

But I was barely aware

All the time in the world

We were not going anywhere

Love got us this far, and look where we are

I don´t know how the truth became lies

I didn´t want to look you in the eyes

 

It wasn´t meant to last, I should’ve known

My love has only been dragging you down

And because of me we´re stuck here, so far from home

So far from any town

 

Because of me we sit here in pain

Both drenched from the rain

It doesn’t matter how strong I felt it then

We´ve reached a dead end

 

I don´t want to leave you

And right now there´s no way that I can

There is so much in my heart I don´t understand

My feelings make me so cruel

A broken-down man

A car out of fuel

Flashed of lightning above

 

It used to be love

I really enjoyed this peace, it flowed very well, it was very poetic, it tells quite a story, and last but not least it rhymes so so well.

I think its very awesome:) I can relate to the dead end, but in a different way like out walking running out of roads physical and mental roads, The thing is were always put on a road to a better plan:) Yes it was a very awesome write Johanna:)
