Maybe

So I´ve had this poem for a while.. but haven´t published it until now. I wasn´t happy with it before, but I feel better about it now, and decided to share it with you all instead of not giving it a chance at all.

MAYBE

I´ve been thinking that maybe I should pack my bags

and get on tomorows train

I´ve been thinking that maybe I won´t get you back

You won´t be the same again

I´ve been thinking that maybe it is my fault

like you keep saying when you sleep

I´ve been thinking that maybe time has come to a halt

and it´s better if I just leave

I´ve been thinking that maybe you don´t want my love

because you never say that you do

I´ve been thinking that maybe you hate me already now

for not understanding you

I´ve been thinking that maybe hope is a strange thing

That you keep hidden, but still loose all the time

I´ve been thinking that maybe if I stay til spring

I´ll completely wither inside

I´ve been thinking that maybe I was naíve

to believe we would still be the same

I´ve been thinking that maybe I should be allowed to grieve

for the man that was, and the future that never came

I´ve been thinking that maybe I´m lying awake

because I don´t feel safe by your side

I´ve been thinking that maybe it is to late

and you won´t let it be because of your pride

I´ve been thinking that maybe I´m going insane

counting stars on the ceiling that aren´t there

I´ve been thinking that maybe I´d jump on a plane

whatever it takes to get away form here

I´ve been thinking that maybe I´m being unfair

for desperatly leaving this way

I´ve been thinking that maybe you won´t notice I´m not there

If you did, you still wouldn´t say

I´ve been thinking that maybe I should pack my bags

and let go cause I know you will not

I´ll let go of lost love, you don´t have to come back

You don´t have to become the man you forgot

I´ve been thinking that there´s not reason in reason at all

I´ve been thinking it over in so many ways

I think I´ll leave a note with goodbye in the hall

I´ve been thinking a lot these days

Oh my goodness Johanna. Seriously my mouth dropped open when I read this. A lot of poems I read are good, but they just don't suck me in. This was absolutely fantastic and so beautiful and sad. This is one of those poems where you don't just read it, but you honestly feel like you're the one going through that and you really do get sucked into this. This is probably like my new all time favorite poem on here. And the way the words flow and go so perfectly on each line. Just wow. Never stop writing, because you are amazing at it!

I loved the meaning to this, it was very heartfelt, emotional, sad and brilliant.
i loved this piece so much, it is so deep, and i can almost picture her and how shes feeling.
Its very hard when a guy you love is still in the same body, hes right beside you, only hes not.
Unfortunately, sometimes people change so much that you feel there a stranger to you now.
I compleatly get the meaning to this, and i really did love it.
