Life

A Story by Johanna Rae Reyer

Tear my skin apart with your words,
crack and break my bones with your touch,
let me wallow in your thoughts,
so that you may breathe into my broken lungs,
and wipe the dust that's settled in my mind.

For, Darling, when I'm with you,
I'm actually alive.

I'm not sure why, but I found this piece a bit humorous as the image I got here was a guy first crumpling up a piece of paper as it makes a screaming sound, and then unrumpling it and pulling it flat as it lets out a pleasurable sigh... Perhaps it's the way the poem swings from destruction into rehibilitation.

Nice Poem.

I love how this poem captures how mean some people can be to others. Love it.

This is really nice, short, simple, sweet. I would love to read more poems of yours.
