Ascend The Night

Ascend The Night

A Poem by Johannes Fahrion

Ascend the Night

I ascend the night,

where Jacob once descended,

his ladder, splintered and dry,

as faith and dreams parted.

I ascend the night,

where tomorrows end,

and darkness folds, dreams within dreams,

now comforting my ghost.

I ascend the night,

when dawn and dusk collide,

bringing frigid days, long.

And traveled paths stilled at birth.

I ascend the night,

where love was present,

by attainable stars, reborn,

while dreams descend the night.

I live in several of the writing craft arenas. I'm yet unpublished, but quite honestly I haven't done a bloody thing to market myself. It seems I should initiate the foreplay now. So, I write books, s.. more..
