Stone Memories

Stone Memories

A Poem by Johannes Fahrion

Stone Memories

The wall then slowly crumbled,

while dreams of mother stumbled,

as eastern promises stuttered,

under father’s still breath muttered.

And stone memories are weighted,

by mortal lives unstated,

then wrapped in wire, twisted,

children bleeding on forty years born.
