Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by John Waits
"

I've never wanted someone more. It kills me to have to wait.

"
It's in my head.
The times we've met.
I have tasted you
and your so,  so sweet.
Snapshots
embrace all my senses.
Arousing every nerve.
Waking my soul.
I covet your touch,
It resonates in my bones.
Scenarios paint my canvas.
My appetite brims.
We've travelled so far.
Only 100 yards to go.
But it seems like miles today.
It seems like miles today.

Delicious anticipation...at last the wait is over.

I'm sure many will relate to this. You express the feelings - of longing, waiting, desire etc - well here through beautiful descriptions. Nice poem.

so pleasant to read. Here is a poem full of honest and innocent passion. well done. We should all look forward to that perfect day instead of focusing on how long we're waiting... the day that love comes to us. :)

I like this line

I covet your touch,
It resonates in my bones.

I know this feeling. Waiting is difficult, especially when you know how perfect the thing is that you are getting... Don't get discouraged. Your love is right around the corner. It will be worth the wait:)
