Backwards

Backwards

A Poem by John
"

This is a new one, hope the ideas come across well.

"
Falling backwards out a window
one hundred stories up.
I must enjoy this fall to avoid a snub.
They only gave me this sensation as a fair consolation.
So I gave up.

...Oh! There was one more.
Years before the fall.
A blank white page was offered
to give my feelings space.
But as soon as they were written,
ink bleeding on the page,
I saw my feelings ruin
yet another saving grace.

So then I was left just one,
and I took it in a beat.
And this scribble penned in haste
occupies the moment in the space
between the fall and relief,
and one last ruined pure white leaf.

Well penned, a great expression.
"I saw my feelings ruin
yet another saving grace." Ans so it is.

I loved the fire out of your last stanza,
Amazing like the "White leaf" Imagery.
This is very well written. Like the
emotions expressed.
