A Poem by John Cuttito

I want proof of the fire that leaves no scars

I want to feel like I do when we’re speeding in cars

Call me. Call me. Call me firefly.

I’ll stay in your jar and try not to light the sky

Just poke in some holes and keep me dry.

I will swallow a star

erupt into a million points of being

One trillion rants per second

 engage in telepathic communication

Yes I love you

 Of course you would

abbreviation of sense

we will become a vague approximation of defense

I am or could be still

Frames in motion

Capture this or

Me or forever hold

Your piece.

Romance as comedy or tragedy. A choice or mystery. Let us be a present tense cradle my heart with sweet suspense

love this piece. It is like a more experienced version of how you wrote when I first met you, if that makes any sense.
