Blind mist

Blind mist

A Poem by John Hanafin
"

Depression / addiction.

"
Like a blind mist pushing down on my mind,
all consuming.
Already primed, evil.
I can't resist.

Next time it comes I want to fight it.
Takes a purer kind of strength,
but I can't seem to find it.

When it finally departs from my mind,
it's hopeless victim.
My soul aches with despair.
I pray next time it'll be more kind.

Like a mist rolling in, the despair consumes you. Is that the meaning ?

I like the way you try to fight it, with a purer kind of strength...but in the end it is hopeless and you can only pray it will be kind on you.

I like it.
