Kenosis

Kenosis

A Poem by John
"

CM

"
I

Stranger here myself
With no familiar faces
Accept abeyance.

II

All cosmic matter
Scattered across space - some crumbs
On a vast table

Or some grains of salt
In a body of water
The size of a star

Or the sum total
Of the words ever spoken
Against the silence.

III

Shudder at the thought
Of other - an entire life,
An immensity.

I saw the title and simply had to review. When I saw the quality of the immense concept I'm glad I attempted to. This is stunning quality at work.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I am tempted to retitle the poem Kenosis Simm.
This is a vast table of wonderfully "spacious" senryu.
An immensity, indeed.
