No Lives Matter

No Lives Matter

A Poem by John
"

Lives

"
Lives do not matter, never have -
Once gone, you're soon replaced -
Let's hear that chanted in the street,
No matter if your face

Is black or white or brown or green,
A lovely shade of blue -
Lives do not matter, never have -
There's more to follow you.

What a dark outlook this little poem has. Mind you when you look at what is happening in Ukraine I am sure there are some who have that view. Lives are very important to me. Especially those of family and friends.

It's so easy to turn to nihilism when all seems bleak, but where is the fun in that? I'd rather be a writer who matters to himself than be a fox who cries sour grapes.

nice poem tho

Thanks for that.
this is quite a depressing poem but then who doesnt feel in this time but then perhaps one way of trying to find something positive in it that despite being dead, you have found life in one way or another
