Knight

Knight

A Poem by John Fakler

The squire faced many tests
He proved himself the very best
He walks toward his greatest foe
The toughest one he'll ever know
The world around disappears
As he prepares to face his fears
The song of steel fills the air
Dodging blows by a hair
Many hours pass like this
Knowing that they face abyss
A stream of scarlet fills the air
The enemy felt no despair
The squire walks away at last
This is how knight came to pass
