Safe Haven

A quickly put together piece. Not too complex, but still one of my personal favorites. Somewhat of a Shakespearean sonnet-type format.

This haven is the center of my life

Deflects pain away from my direction

And ridding me of all things bringing strife

It is always there, as my protection

It is the one place I can have some fun

The safe haven that I have claimed for me

No matter what happens there I can run

From the evil things that make me angry

All the fake people that fill me with hate

Pushing me to the brink, until I snap

It seems this always comes to be my fate

That I’m always falling into this trap

So, after a rough day of all of this

I retreat to my haven, my sweet bliss.
