Haikus - Night & Day

Two English Haikus, called Night and Day , which should be read together.

Day:
Pain hammers my chest,

Yet nothing shows in my walk,

My eyes are happy.

 

Night:
My eyes are open,

Wide, unblinking, they burn with

Pain I will not feel.
