Dear Universe

Dear Universe

A Poem by Jonathan CuzBubbawicz
"

A letter to the universe asking for its help

"
Dear Universe,

If you're listening,
and I believe you are,
then take these words, not as a prayer,
but as a promise.
There is a woman whose light
puts your stars to shame.
She walks like a quiet revolution,
and in her silence, I hear my name.
Help her find joy in her own reflection,
not just in what she gives away.
Let her feel pride in her creation,
and strength when skies turn gray.
Let her see the wonder she carries,
in her breath, in her hands,
And in her mind, true loves affection,
only to follow where her soul stands.
And help me, too.
For I am bleeding into places love should live.
Wounds I’ve buried are now roots of fear,
poisoning what I most want to give.
Teach me to face that shadow,
to unlearn the lies my past wrote.
I want to stand tall, not just for her,
but for the boy inside me who never spoke.
She deserves more than apologies
wrapped in trembling hands.
She deserves a man who sees her fully,
who meets her where she stands.
Let me become that man.
Not flawless, but whole.
Not perfect, but awake,
no longer afraid to take control.
Let me love myself the way I love her,
fiercely, completely, without hesitation.
Let my heart be strong enough
to hold space for both redemption and celebration.
And wherever life may lead us,
here, or someplace new,
keep our roots intertwined
and our love ever true.
Because she is not just a part of me.
She is the reason I breathe deep.
She is the sun around which I orbit,
and without her, all goes to sleep.
If her flame dims,
I will offer my own spark.
If she falls into shadow,
I’ll carry her light through the dark.
Her joy is my vow.
Her peace is my plea.
Let her shine
even if it burns through me.
And if you are listening, Universe,
not with ears, but with stars and motion,
then take this letter,
and turn it into devotion.
Let her feel how rare she is.
How beautiful, even when broken.
Let our love not just survive,
but be our deepest word unspoken.

Forever in Love,
Jonathan Phelps
