Home In My Heart

Home In My Heart

A Poem by Jordan Haley Nadja Black

Laughter hung in the air
Teasing at the edge of our consience
We sit next to one another
But we could be worlds apart
We're the definition of division
From the minute we laid eyes
I made for you a home in my heart
It was destined to rot

I'm making a decision
To live with out you here
Its hard to forget about someone
When you constently want them near
I'd rather have my head severed
I'll forget about the rain
For you are gold in the sunlight
Your gold though your pale

We're hungry people
Hunger cant be fed
We're greedy
We're selfish
We're only home inside our heads

I'll make it comfortable
Make space for you
I'll move all my veins
I'm making room for you in my heart
So we can always be the same
