Colour Guard

A Poem by Jordyn Zacharias

Cannons Boom
And Trumpets Whine
Along the Mighty Battle Line
Where Brave men of Blue and Gray
Stand to Face their Judgement Day
With their Banners at their Head

Cannons Boom
As Brave men Die
Along the Mighty Battle Line
Where Blue and Gray lay in the Clay
As Musket fire fades away
With their Banners at their Head

Now Men Salute
And Trumpets Cry
Along the Mighty Burial Line
Where Brave Men of Blue and Gray
Happily Died in Battle's Frey
With their Banners at their Head.
