Promise

Kill me please

Allow me to fulfill the promise that we made

Even if you will not see it for yourself

I’ll make sure that a liar you don’t become

Through my feelings about you I’ll obtain the courage and strength, to live it on.

As the blue moon’s light shines upon my eyes

Freezing them in time

Making me dead and yet alive

I hurry for, the trust that you had given me

Which I carry deep within my heart

Trust that pierces through my beats

Stopping every lie

Now never again will you have to hate yourself for this

As your trust makes my heart stop all of its lies

It fulfills the promise that we made

Soon enough reunited we will be

Together in the end as the Angels of Death

A melancholy and sadly pretty piece, with a lot of good, evocative language in it! If your okay with some constructive criticism, I'd say the last line of the first stanza could do with a bit of reworking, it's a bit unwieldy at the moment due to its length. There are also a lot of connectives you could cut out, words like "now" and "as", just because I feel they don't add much to the poem. Overall though a great piece; dark, mysterious and powerful!
