Wish Upon a Falling Star

Wish Upon a Falling Star

A Poem by Josh Anderson

Falling stars make wishing hard for me
But they're the only ones my tired eyes can see
Another chance falling through outer space
Like a tear falling down God's face

There was comfort in the message that they preached
But I was too hurt to keep on listening
Where has the time gone, Lord only knows
Are you happy with the wishes that you chose

When a minute can feel like eternity
There may be something wrong with me
Sanity that hangs by a spiders thread
I chose to make my wish upon a falling star instead
