Remain Alive

Remain Alive

A Poem by Josh Anderson

I've held on for so very long
Listened to every saint and sinners song
The words of sinful men
A symphony begging to be condemned

Liars place bets on truth
The old and weary long for days of youth
But the generation of love and tolerance
Paved the way for hate and ignorance

What can be done about the devils game
We who would carry crosses but feel ashamed
To hold onto our faith
The precious gift no living man can take

The mountains bow and the seas will part
For the faithful with a witness heart
In this life the flesh may die
But in the spirit we remain alive
