Hollow Point Heart

Hollow Point Heart

A Poem by Josh Anderson

I close my eyes, I make believe, that maybe this real
I bow my head I pray to God that someday I can feel
Its not the same, it never was when you betrayed my trust
Its not the same, it never was when you blew this heart to dust

The hollow points Inside your heart made it very clear
I was scorned, I was shunned, never welcome here
There's nothing I could do to change your mind
Every thought I had got blown from out of my mind

I take this rose, thorns and all, and lay it at your feet
I walk alone, I walk unknown, down this familiar street
So much more to say and do, not enough time to make it through
So I'll take these hollow points inside my chest and shatter every piece of you
