Carcass Masks

Carcass Masks

A Poem by Josh Wesey
"

I wrote this a while back, dwelling on the facts of life.

"
Carcass Masks

Lost in your eyes
My mistake lost in the disguise

Fake impressions
Passive Temptations

Open my eyes to the conoxes
The beating drums of corruption

Now we all both sit still
As the only thing that moves is our tears.

Craving a Saviour and peace .
Your faces drop like China doll masks scattering and shattering on the cold ground.
They go on and on.
"How many faces do you have?"
"One for every life scene"

Thousands.
As the plummet into a heap.
"Are you real now?"
"We can never be real. Life isn't even real but just practice for the eternal"

Stuck on the fence.
No purpose nor vision.
Jump in to the river for an eternal swim.
The ocean of life
