After Honey

After Honey

A Poem by J.L.R

And it started smooth

like silk scented

lavender vanilla

Like threads running down your torso

melting finger tips

pulsing innocence

tipping on the edge

of too much

self lust

with heated pressure points

But your warmth

in it’s regular-ness

it’s 9 to 5

love,

dependable arms

Has me

stretched

Rubber bands

to tongue tip

kisses

Because

I don’t deserve

your

high key

commitment

This poem has me focused on the last stanza, and I am thinking, why don't they deserve that high key commitment? So I have read it a second time and focus on Has Me stretched. I enjoyed reading this poem and love the way your first stanza set the scene. Thank you for sharing.
