D Minor

D Minor

A Poem by Jake Hajer

D Minor

The sun goes away as the earth turns its back
Through all the nasty particles
Calloused brown building bricks
turn make-up blush orange

Of course windows reflect the light
blinding me to the point of steering to the
unknown

Know
that the honest things are cloudy and gray.

They are dark
where b******s of reality can no longer write
but have to talk, chattering
stuttering, gasping
cold air gulps
forgetting the words that alone
create personality
