Fall

Fall

A Poem by Juan Santana
"

A poem about love

"
Love is the place where nothing is said
The comfort you seek when laying your head
You are yourself minus feelings of dread
A dictating passion that burns a deep red
It calls for your all, so be at your best
The drumming of war is the beat in your chest
Onward you thrive, though time is the test
For love is forever, so it may suggest
When love is young it lacks all the tension
It feels as though you may be lost in suspension
To other worries you pay no attention
You live on a whim, no time for convention
Though like all things that live, the larger it grows
The more that it means, the more that it shows
It takes heart to go with the constant thrown blows
With power it pushes, with power it flows
Though you may get caught in the rush of it all
Taken and swept by its powerful call
It cannot be paused, theres no hope for stall
It changes your life, starting just from a Fall
