Endure (A Bittersweet Eulogy)

Endure (A Bittersweet Eulogy)

A Story by JugHead985
"

We all have two faces. Some more easily shown than others. Some for protection from the world, mine was to protect the world from me.

"
A part of me has gone
Tragic as it seems
There is no in between
It was either him or me to make a home.
Kept me safe from the world,
then I met that one girl.
I made a bunch of promises, he wouldn't keep

*  Staring at your pictures, cause you're not there
See the way your smile just clears the air
Choices made, to take that away
How can I expect you to stay

The bitterness of pain, realities of life
when facing inner strife
this isn't how I saw it playing out
Thoughts from which I abstained
Guardian some would say
From outside I see
He only kept the truth from me
Now the time has come to bid farewell, and have a nice day

*

Robbing me of all that I am
Shredding fibers of my worth
Was it your devious plan
To damn me from my birth
So torn on what to feel
Is your dying a parting gift
To let me see what is real
or was it your way to throw me from a cliff
No flowers grace your tomb
Mourning stops with me
My life now what I choose it to be
An angry rose can never Bloom
The future so unsure
I let my Faith return
The rage no longer burns
in His hands, I will Endure
