The day is almost here          I will be more alive

It is only a week away            Much more than the last few years

In fact, it’s very near              For my life will be rife

Way too close, if I may say    With pleasures and without fears

 

After that fateful day             Not a thing will stop me

All my worries will be gone   From doing whatever I please

The hurting will go away       I will be where I will be

If the work is quite well done                                     Always doing my thing with ease

 

Limping will disappear          I’ll be happy up there

And I will be walking tall       Rejoicing in His presence                                          

 

I will walk in high gear                      Or I’ll be happy here

To whatever is my call           Being mindful of His essence

 

After that fateful day             Happy my love will be

Many places I’ll explore                                                         To know that I am quite sound

Then I can really say              Happy that my good knee

That I’m not slow anymore    Will let me move her around                        

 

I will thank my dear Lord       She’ll know I’ll do her will

If in heaven I end up              Whatever that requires

If I survive the sword             She’ll know I always will

With cheers I will fill my cup                                      Give her what she desires

 

Heaven may be up high         Then, nothing will stop me

Or it may be right down here                                     My knee will be in top form

Either way, I will sigh             Quite ready I will be

My relief will be sincere        Any hard task to perform
