Words of love

The loss of a lover

 

My life is full of turmoil

Of love lost but then found

A warm smile beckons me

And I feel that I am real.

 

Where there was emptiness

There is meaning and fun

Could I ever be whole

Or is part better than none?

 

My days were full of life

And my nights full of sadness

Wanting to be close to you

But knowing it won’t happen.

 

I wonder if anyone

will truly understand

The way that I’m feeling

I am on my own.

 

A day is just a day

and another is another.

I do what I have to do

And exist for others.

 

One day I may find myself,

A warm smile may be around

I long to glow from inside

And feel whole again.
