Alone in a Crowd

I am alone,

In a bright cityscape where city filth reeks

from house to house, gutter to creek.

Not one notices who I am inside,

They can only see what I have implied

Nothing more nothing less

I leave their thoughts in peace.

I'm in a crowd,

Of friends and faces I've seen before

many of which I just ignore.

All together we think equally

but none of them think of decency.

None of them stay, all of them go,

I leave their ignorance in peace.

Back to the peace I talk about,

that none care to think about truly,

they take the beauty of life and treat it cruelly.

people don't care for the heroes who died

instead they choose to glorify homicide.

They talk of peace and equality falsely

as I watch them I leave us all in ruins.
