Ode to Autumn

Ode to Autumn

A Poem by Julianna Marie

a silent whisper creeps through the cold trees and softly lulls the earth to sleep. the leaves cascade gently to the ground and beauty is in its prime.
pumpkins thaw from the morning frost and by dinner time they've lost some weight and gained faces. faces of horror and faces of fear.
chilling fright runs down the streets, knocking on doors to share a friendly "hello". children shriek with laughter when story time greets reality.
and in the end we'll share a part of us that's limited to these three short months.
rested and anew, we'll awake to another beginning that will hold us and mature us until we're ready to break free.

very, very good, your piece epitomized fall very nicely.

so many good parts, but this one stuck out for me the most

Looking forward to fall, this was great.
