As the Moon and Stars Fall

As the Moon and Stars Fall

A Poem by MsJewel

Photograph compliments of Pinterest

~~~
I have never been content in the shade of silence
collecting words from dreams that slip through my hands
as the moon and stars fall from the sky…
Yet it is this silence
that has me chasing sunbeams on rainy days
gathering thoughts as I would teardrops
no longer staining my cheek
but tucked safely in my pocket
to water the daisies
on a summer day
Yes, it is me
painting sentences with rainbows to decorate my eyes
with words of beauty, melodies of hope
to color my days with the whisper of the wind
and breathe through the night
as the moon and stars fall from the sky
No
I have never been content in the shade of silence
~~~

'As the Moon and Stars Fall'
Msjewel,
Silence is a wonderful reality which can be a place of color and sound, that is of the soul. Our inner beings are such a busy place. To thinks and to create and share the tapestry which is just waiting to come forth. We can weave and share.
Blessings,
Kathy

My pleasure lovely
I like the imagery / descriptiveness of the silence driving you to chase sunbeams and gather thoughts. I feel like as bright and colorful as this write is it also has a bit of apprehension and melancholy behind it... as obviously the silence is still there at times. Quite well done. ~Jim

You are so kind Jack. Thank you :) Julie
this is such a beautiful poem. My words are like little monsters most days and its never how I wanted them to be. Your words are the sky and the songs of larks - a poem to bask in. Lovely.

A beautiful way to say how the love of life can turn negatives to positives This is so heart felt. And you have painted rainbows for our eyes.

I don't know how you do it, but here you have created another masterpiece of poetry. This is stunning in every sense of the word, and in every word, I feel your heart and soul. You have painted such a beautiful expression of your feelings and the lines and verses flow seamlessly together. I am so glad that you are never content to live in the shadows, but let your love and talent shine in works like this. Bravo. Trace
